Who we are

Rise Up with Raj is a social-good content channel hosted at riseupwithraj.com, supporting the work of the Feed One Foundation. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Rise Up with Raj. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].

Information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We collect:

• Contact form details. When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number, topic, and message you choose to provide so we can respond to you. Submitting the form is itself your consent for us to use these details for that single purpose, in line with the principle of purpose limitation under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The form also offers a separate, optional checkbox to opt in to occasional updates from Rise Up with Raj; if you tick it, we record that choice together with the date and time, and you can withdraw it at any time by writing to [email protected].
• Contact form security metadata. Stored alongside each submission, we keep a one-way, irreversible cryptographic hash of your IP address (a “fingerprint” — not the IP address itself), the browser user-agent string your device sends, and the date and time of the submission. We use this only to limit how often the form can be submitted from one source, to prevent spam and abuse, and to keep a record of genuine enquiries.
• Spam-protection signals. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots. Cloudflare may process limited technical information (such as your IP address and browser signals) to perform this check, governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
• Basic server logs. Like most websites, our host may automatically record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and operational purposes.

How we use your information

• To respond to messages and enquiries you send us.
• To operate, maintain, and secure the website.
• To prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent activity.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. The only cookies set directly by this site are strictly necessary ones: a short-lived session cookie used to protect the contact form from cross-site forgery, Cloudflare Turnstile (which performs a bot check when you submit the form), and Cloudflare's security cookies (__cf_bm and, when shown a security challenge, cf_clearance) which we use to keep the site available and protect it from abuse.

Our homepage embeds reels from Instagram using Instagram's official embed script. When those embeds load, Instagram may set its own cookies in your browser — particularly if you are signed in to Instagram in the same browser — under Instagram's privacy policy. We do not receive that data. If you would prefer those embeds not load, you can block third-party cookies for instagram.com in your browser settings.

Third-party content and links

Our pages embed reels and posts directly from Instagram, and we link to external sites including the Feed One Foundation and its academy. When you interact with embedded content or follow a link, the third party’s own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the practices of those external services.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site (such as our web host and Cloudflare), and only as needed to provide those services, or where required by law.

Data retention

We keep contact-form submissions only as long as necessary to respond to you and maintain our records, and server logs for a limited period for security and operational needs. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have shared with us. Where we rely on your consent (for example, your contact-form details), you may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us — withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. To make a request, email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children’s privacy

This website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including serving the site over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
